Y 06I008 - Residence BU

Sint-Martens-Latem (BE), 2024 - ...

Accessed through a discrete entrance, the full character of the location unveils itself only upon arrival— Positioned in the second row, without a traditional street-facing façade, the home is designed to be central—both literally and conceptually. It opens generously in all directions, engaging with its surroundings in a calm and balanced dialogue. The architecture dissolves into the landscape, forging a subtle interplay between openness and intimacy, between presence and neutrality. The vision is one of timelessness—an architecture that feels neither loud nor fleeting, but grounded. A place where shelter and openness coexist in harmony, and where every step across the site offers a renewed experience. This is a dwelling where built form and garden flow into one another, creating moments of pause, reflection, and quiet joy. The home is composed of three distinct volumes, unified under a playful choreography of roofs. This triadic arrangement defines three zones across the site—each oriented with the sun, and each with its own identity.
